Another two cards that I made, this one was hard because it was for a friend in America who passed away on Sunday.

The one above is for a little girl who has a wonderful sense of humour and a sharp mind.  When asked by a postman colleague of her Daddy's if she was going to be a postman when she grew up she replied 'Certainly not! I'm going to be a fairy!'  There's not a lot one can say after that.

Butterfly card

Well here it is, my first card in such a long time I'm embarrassed to admit exactly how long it has been.  This was made for a 2 year old who has just discovered the joys of butterflies, she calls them 'buttflies' and I fear that's exactly how they're going to remain.  The card, being embossed with buttflies just lent itself to being embellished with the three dimensional ones.  All comments are (good or bad) are welcome, I'm fairly new to this and anxious to extend my abilities although if a certain person in the Crafting Cafe has her way I'll be crafting like and expert in no time.

My First Blog

My very first Blog and I have no idea what to say except for the following.  This Blog is for crafting with the odd cake thrown in here and there for good measure.  Most of all it is in honour of a dear, departed friend who would have been *chair dancing* if she saw this, LA Banks, a fantastic author and a jolly good friend who always had your six even if you didn't know it. Leslie encouraged me to write a blog on the basis of emails that I sent her and she would be laughing her socks off now. Boy do I have a lot to 'craft up to', Leslie was a master of her craft and then there's Nikki (yes, it's you I'm talking about Nikki Smith) who is also a master of her chosen craft and not only passes on her knowledge but infects those she passes it one to. I've master the writing to the blog now I've just got to master the photographs, I'll get there though. Got two cards to post just as soon as I work out all the bells and whistles.
